When is the ordering deadline, and what happens if I miss it?
Ordering deadline (cutoff)
To order for today, place and pay for the order before your school's ordering deadline. If an order is still unpaid when the deadline passes, it's cancelled automatically and you aren't charged.
The deadline is a time of day, set by your school or by Food Service. Orders for later days aren't affected until their own day.
What the deadline means
- Ordering for today: you can't choose today once the deadline has passed. You'll see “the cutoff time has passed for today”.
- Days your school doesn't take orders: some days can't be chosen at all. You'll see “your school does not accept orders” on that day.
- Unpaid orders in your cart: at the deadline, unpaid orders for that day are cancelled automatically. Nothing is charged.
Reminder emails
If you leave unpaid orders in your cart, we may email you a reminder before the deadline. Pay from the cart to keep the order.
Make sure an order is placed in time
Add the order to your cart.
Press the Checkout button and pay straight away. An order in the cart isn't placed until it's paid.
Check that the order shows Paid status in Orders.
If this happens
My order was cancelled and I didn't cancel it
It was probably unpaid when the deadline passed, or an item ran out. See missed the deadline? for what happened and what to do next.
I paid, but it still shows Submitted
Don't pay again. See Payment not confirmed.
